What We Offer
At Knott County Public Library, we provide a variety of services to meet the needs of our community — from free Wi-Fi and printing to book borrowing, community events, and more.

Library Card
Knott County and surrounding county residents who are 18 or older can register for a Knott County Public Library card by visiting the library with a current photo ID. Residents who are under 18 may do so with a parent or guardian signature. Lost cards may be replaced at the Knott County Public Library. There will be a $3.00 replacement fee. Please report lost or stolen library cards and any address changes as soon as possible. When you apply for a library card, you agree to return borrowed materials on time and assume responsibility for lost or damaged items.
Books

Books are checked out for two weeks. Patrons may renew once in person or by telephone. Items must be checked out on the patron’s own library card — patrons may not use another person’s card. A limit of 10 items may be checked out on a single card.
Computers

The library offers 6 public computers with fiber internet. Please check in at the front desk to use a computer. You must have a current library card with no fines or overdue notices to use computers. Out-of-town guests may request a temporary internet pass. Computer sessions are 60 minutes, first-come, first-served.
Seating/Study Area
The library offers comfortable seating areas for work, study, or reading—available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some areas may be reserved by calling (606) 785-5412. We also provide study materials, including GRE, ACT, SAT, EMT guides, and CDL/driver’s permit manuals, which may be used in the library or printed for a fee.
